We were fortunate to have had a good selection of candidates who applied to replace our retiring superintendent, Greg Corning. The finalists are: 1. Joshua Isaacson, superintendent at the De Soto #73 School District in De Soto, Missouri. 2. Jeffery Rykal, Mondovi High School principal, Mondovi, Wisconsin. 3. Lori Whelan, superintendent at the Osseo-Fairchild School District in Osseo, Wisconsin. We invite you to participate in the process by: 1. Submitting questions for the candidates to answer. 2. Watching a recorded interview with each candidate on March 24 or 25 (until 3:00 pm on the 25th) on either the District television channel or District web site. 3. Submitting comments to the board via the survey link that will be made available on the District web site the days of the viewing. Questions for the candidates can be submitted by emailing them to Shelly Teigen at steigen@mondovi.k12.wi.us by Tuesday, March 16. Please know that depending on the number of question submitted, the candidates will likely not be able to answer them all. Thank you for your continued interest in our school district. With regards, Jean Sandberg, School Board President

Parents and student athletes, please read through these expectations for athletes, coaches, and fans for home and away events during this winter season. The following protocols were created in conjunction with member schools of the Dunn St.Croix Conference. These expectations should be followed at both home and away events. We appreciate your cooperation.

Reminder to all parents that tomorrow, Wednesday, September 2, 2020, is the first early release day for Elementary, Middle School, and High School Students. They will be released to go home/ride the bus at 3:09 PM rather than 3:30 PM. The 2:30 bus for elementary school students will still run at 2:30 PM. Early release happens each Wednesday. The early release time allows for staff to collaborate with each other and continue to move our district forward.

The School District of Mondovi would like your input regarding the start of the 2020-2021 school year. There are numerous decisions yet to be made as to what the start of the school year will look like. The District will be continuing to follow DPI (Department of Public Instruction), DHS (Department of Health Services), CDC (Centers for Disease Control), and Coulee Compass recommendations in our planning for this fall. Depending on the risk levels and guidelines, we are currently planning for several options including: face-to-face instruction; at-home learning; and blended learning (a combination of classroom instruction and at-home learning). The information you provide us through this survey https://tinyurl.com/yc22dx7c will help guide our decisions and will help us develop a plan for the reopening of schools while doing what is possible to mitigate risk. If you have trouble opening the survey, try copying and posting this link to your browser: https://tinyurl.com/yc22dx7c
