What is the Mentor Program?The Mission of the Mondovi Area Mentor Program is to link school and community together to promote the matching of caring, responsible adults on a one-to-one basis with students in order to encourage personal and academic growth. A mentor is a suitable role model committed to serving as a guide and a friend to a designated student. A mentor demonstrates values of dependability, goal setting and the importance of an education.

Objectives of the Mentor Program:

  • To provide a positive role model for the students

  • To give the students hope for the present and visions for their future

  • To encourage students to set and work toward goals

  • To help students believe they can be successful

  • To help students learn to make good and healthy choices in life

  • To help students discover their own abilities and talents

  • To help students see themselves as positive contributing members of their community

  • To develop strong caring inter-generational relationships between students and adult members of the community
