A message from the Head Buffalo: School is closed today, Monday, March 25, 2024.

Community Members: A few years ago, the teachers in Mondovi decided to start an Academic Pep Assembly to recognize students with a 3.0 GPA or higher and those who have increased their GPA from the previous grading period. We would like to be able to give out prizes to students chosen at random from each of the categories. Each prize should be about $10 in value. This could be something as simple as a $10 gift card to a local business, a case of pop, a candy basket, etc. If you are able to donate, please drop off donations to the high school office between 8 am and 3:45 pm Monday through Friday by 10:00 am Monday, March 25th. Heads up Buffalo Fans! The Boyceville girls are thin on numbers tonight, so the JV girls' basketball game will be shortened tonight. The Senior Night recognition will take place between games. The varsity game could start as early as 7:00 tonight. Go Buffaloes!!!

The Mondovi High School will host a College & Career Fair on Thursday March 14th from 8AM-12PM in the High School Gymnasium. Local businesses looking to hire High School students and future graduates are welcome to attend. Over 400 students are expected to attend from Mondovi, Osseo-Fairchild, Cochrane-Fountain City, Gilmanton, and Alma. Career Fairs are excellent opportunities for students to explore their future, meet potential employers, and build relationships that will impact their post-secondary success. If you have a daughter in 2nd grade who is interested in basketball, we will be running 4 sessions of Little Dribblers for 2nd grade girls the month of January. I've been told that not everyone saw the form. Paper copies are going home with girls today. Check your email for a message from me today as well. If you are able to email the form back to me today, that would be great. Someone will be in the Elementary and High School office the morning of December 27th if you need to drop it off then. After that, basketballs and t-shirts will need to be ordered. We can collect the $40 fee the first night if needed. Thanks! Coach Gray

Reminder that we will be having a bake sale and 50/50 raffle this week to raise money for families in need this holiday season. Baked goods are $1 each and raffle tickets are $1 for 1, $3 for 5, or $10 for a wingspan. Middle school and high school students will be able to purchase Monday through Thursday this week. High school dress up days are posted as well.

ALUMNI PEP BAND!!! – Attention all Mondovi Band Alumni, parents, teachers, and community members, who used to play in the band! We are having an Alumni Pep Band on Thursday, Jan. 4th for the Girls' Basketball Game against Durand. We will meet in the band room at 6:15 pm. We play during warm-ups and will be done by 7:15 pm. If you still have an instrument, please bring it! Email Mr. Walk if you plan to attend or have any other questions.

Congratulations to these Mondovi HS Concert Band members for being selected to the Dunn/St. Croix All-Conference Honor Band! The honor band will meet, rehearse, and perform on Saturday, January 27th, 2024 in Elmwood.
