Congratulations to Skylar Hjort for being the champion of the Mississippi Valley Gifted and Talented Network Spelling Bee that was held on March 19th at the Westby School District!! Skylar hoisted the first place trophy after a grueling 22 rounds of spelling words like propitious and meitnerium correctly!! Way to go Skylar!! #mondovipride

On Tuesday, January 23, the 7th grade Quiz Bowl teams traveled to Black River Falls. One team took 6th place and the other team won the tournament.

Congrats to our 7th and 8th grade choir students on a fantastic concert! They represented Mondovi at the Dunn-St. Croix Middle School Choirpalooza event. They sang with over 100 other 7th and 8th graders under the direction of Mr. Shawn Gudmunsen, the choir director at St. Croix Falls Middle School. Great job! #gobuffalos

The Middle/High School picture day is Wednesday, September 13th. Forms will be sent home with students or you can order online at www.strawbridge.net (use code FM414045). Picture retakes are scheduled for Thursday, October 26th.

Attention parents of incoming 6th grade students. Orientation for 6th grade students and parents will take place the evening of August 23rd, along with the rest of the MS & HS parents. Look for more information on MS/HS Orientation coming soon. 6th grade students will NOT have a 1/2 day of school on the first day as in years past. 6th grade students will have a full day of school on August 24th, along with the rest of the MS & HS. Tysen Poeschel will be competing in the Junior High National Finals Rodeo in Perry, Georgia June 17th - 24th. Good luck Tysen.

Congratulations to Tysen Poeschel for earning 2023 All-Around Cowboy for WI Junior High School Rodeo. Tysen was the overall Champion for Tie Down and Saddle Bronc. He was the Reserve Champion for Goat Tying, Team Roping (Heeler), Bareback and Chute Doggin. He finished 3rd overall in Bulls and 4th overall in Ribbon Roping. Way to go Tysen!

Congratulations 8th Grade Quiz Bowl! They won their championship tournament on April 13.

On Tuesday, April 18th from 8:45am-11:30am all the Buffalo County 8th grade students from Alma, Cochrane-Fountain City, Gilmanton and Mondovi School Districts will be attending a half-day workshop on mental health awareness and making positive choices in their teenage years at Cochrane-Fountain City High School.

Congratulations 7th grade boys' basketball! They won back-to-back state championships while playing in the Wisconsin State Invitational Championship Tournament for Division 4/5. They won it last year as 6th graders. 18 teams in the tournament. Mondovi went 6-0 beating Poynette in the championship game 52-30 #mondovipride
