This past Friday, members of the Mondovi High School Jazz Band attended the UW-Eau Claire Jazz Festival! As one of the largest and longest-running festivals in the country, it was an incredible experience for our students. We participated in clinics on improvisation and listened to several fantastic performances ranging from high school to the collegiate level.

Huge congratulations to our Mondovi High School musicians! 🎶 These talented students did an incredible job representing our school and community at the Dunn/St. Croix Honors Band and Choir this past weekend at Glenwood City HS.

Spanish Club and Spanish 1 classes have been very busy this Trimester! Before Winter break, Spanish Club students got together to make Mexican rice and a delectable Tres Leches cake for their fiesta de Navidad. They are also in the process of creating a Lego poinsettia and learning about the legend of this beautiful flower from Mexico. Spanish 1 students created different paper versions of the poinsettia as well. And if all the creative fun wasn't enough, they recently had a chance to play some competitive Guess Who, in Spanish of course, to practice using the verb SER and descriptive words.

ALUMNI PEP BAND!!! Attention all Mondovi Band Alumni, parents, teachers, and community members who used to play in band! We are having our annual Alumni Pep Band on Friday, Jan. 9th, for the Boys' Basketball Game against Durand. We will meet in the band room at 6:00 p.m. to hand out music and have a quick rehearsal. They performed at the Pablo Center in Eau Claire this past Saturday alongside over 400 talented peers from 90+ schools in the upper Midwest. What a fantastic honor!

Congratulations to Freshmen Tanner Osenga and Junior Sierra Fleming for being selected for the 2025 UW-Eau Claire Honor Band Program! These Mondovi Band Students were chosen from over 800 applications from high school band students all around the Midwest! The event will take place on Saturday, November 8th, at the Pablo Center in Eau Claire.

Homecoming t-shirts are being delivered today! The elementary students' t-shirts were dropped off in the elementary office. The middle and high school students' t-shirts will be delivered during homeroom/Buffalo Time today. If a family ordered multiple t-shirts, all t-shirts were given to one of the siblings. Congratulations to Ayden Flaherty as she moves on to the WIAA Tennis Sectional Tournament! The Buffaloes played well in their Subsectional Tournament today in Amery, where most players finished their season.
