Hello Middle/High School Buffaloes Parents!
Every two years our District needs to complete a CTE Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment survey to continue to receive Federal funding through the Carl Perkins Act (Perkins V). CTE is an acronym for Career and Technical Education (Business and Information Technology, Family and Consumer Science, Agriculture, and Technology Education departments). The survey's purpose is to help local CTE leaders identify, understand, and prioritize their needs and strategies to improve student performance and program quality. The survey gets sent out to parents, staff, and students in the District. Please take 5-10 minutes to complete this year's survey so we can continue to provide quality programming to our students. Please complete the survey by October 13.

The Middle/High School picture day is Wednesday, September 13th. Forms will be sent home with students or you can order online at www.strawbridge.net (use code FM414045). Picture retakes are scheduled for Thursday, October 26th.
Practice for the HS Mondovi Girls' Golf Team begins the week of August 7th. No experience is necessary! If you are interested in joining, please contact Coach Walk by email.
Mondovi 9-12th grade parents (and athletes): we are only two weeks away from the start of the girl's tennis season! Even if your daughter has not joined us over the summer for optional practices, we'd love to have new athletes join our team and tennis family this upcoming season! The Buffalo County Extension Office is asking adults and MS/HS students for help in completing a survey on Using Restorative Justice in Rural Schools. The survey is being conducted by the University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension Buffalo County as a part of the Wisconsin Idea Internship Program grant. This survey will be used to design a program that best meets the needs of young people and the families in Buffalo County. Buffalo County Extension officials hope to set a foundation for a subsequent collaboration grant from UW-Madison to increase equitable access across our county. The survey will take 5-10 minutes. Attention Mondovi Buffaloes Girls' Basketball Alumni. I am working on creating a Mondovi Girls' Basketball All-Time Leader Board to be displayed in the Buffalo Lobby. I am looking to recognize players with the most points, rebounds, assists, steals, and 3-pointers in a game, season, and/or career. I do not have stats from the following seasons: 2021, 2020, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2012, 2010, 2008, and nothing before 2007. The Spring Golf Team season came to an end today with Julia Moats and Phoenix Waller representing our program extremely well at sectionals in Cadott today! Congratulations to all of this year’s team members. NEXT UP for the Mondovi Golf Program, is the Mondovi Junior Golf League, Grades 3-11, this Monday starting at 9:00 at The Valley Golf Course. The commencement ceremony for Mondovi's Class of 2023 will take place at 1:30 in the Large Gym on Saturday, May 27th. Doors will open at 12:30. General Admission seating in the bleachers. Most of the floor seats will be reserved for immediate family of the graduates. There will be a few rows on the floor behind the reserved seating that is intended for the elderly or anyone who physically cannot walk up the bleachers. Thanks

Congratulations to the varsity golf team at regionals today! The WIAA Regional was hosted by Mondovi at The Valley Golf Course. Seniors Julia Moats and Phoenix Waller qualified as individuals and advanced to sectionals, which will take place at Whispering Pines Golf Course in Cadott on May 30th!

A work permit is required before anyone under the age of 16 is allowed to work in any job with the exception of agriculture or domestic service work. Parents can now apply for a work permit for their student online - there is no need to come into the Finance Office in order to get a permit. Parents can access the site using these instructions. Payment is made directly to the Department of Workforce Development through this application. #mondovipride
