Please note the following: 1) MS Girls' Basketball in Cadott tips off at 4:30. 2) MS Wrestling @ C-FC starts at 4:30. 3) C-Team and JV Boys' Basketball in Colfax both tip off at 4:30. 4) Varsity Boys' Basketball in Colfax is scheduled for 5:45. 5) Finally, the JV Girls' Basketball game in Boyceville is cancelled for tonight. The Varsity Girls' Basketball game remains scheduled for a 7:15 tip off. Thanks!
Good Afternoon to all our fine folks, parents, and students of Mondovi School District - We have been noticing an increase in illness reporting among students, both here and region-wide. The kitchen is taking measures to reduce the risk of contagion spread during this week, specifically, and going forward. You may notice new sneeze guards over all cold foods. We are also staffing extra servers during lunch periods where students normally serve themselves. This week, servers will serve your food for you. We have taken these measures to keep you all as healthy as can be.

Greetings Buffalo fans. Congratulations to Maddy Marten. Last night Maddy became the 4th player in Mondovi Girls' Basketball history to score 1,000 points in her high school career. She joins the likes of Katie Cheline, Ava Gray, and Ashley Williamson as the only four players in program history to accomplish that feat. Congrats Maddy!

We will be serving charcuterie boxes Monday, January 27th. What is charcuterie, you may ask? Charcuterie (pronounced "shar-koo-tuh-ree") is a French term that originally referred to the preparation and preservation of cured meats, particularly pork. Over time, it has evolved to describe a curated selection of meats, cheeses, and accompaniments served as an appetizer or light meal, often presented on a board or platter (in our case, boxes).
The charcuterie box will consist of:
K-5 - Beef stick, turkey stick, 1 slice american cheese, sliced into 4 (cross), pretzel snacks, 5 ritz crackers, baby carrots, celery sticks & applesauce and/or an orange. Grades 6-12 - Additional 3 slices of ham or turkey and 10 ritz crackers instead of 5.
Chicken nuggets, the glorious student staple, will still be offered as an alternate entree Monday.

Attention Breakfast Lovers...
As you may have read in the Buffalo County News and in appreciation of all things Breakfast, the Mondovi Food Service department is sampling some foods in the cafeteria Wednesday, October 30th between 7:45-08:30 AM. We will be showcasing overnight oats recipes, yogurt parfait recipes and have information for students on healthy breakfast habits. Buffy, the school mascot will be on hand to show some buffalo pride and maybe get a few photos for the #gram.
The Mondovi Food Service department recently applied for and received a $14,000 Grant from the USDA to increase participation and quality in the school breakfast program. Funds are intended to purchase new equipment in that objective.

The food service team hosted a coloring contest for the best pirate flag. We had hundreds of creative and excellent submissions but ultimately chose one grand prize winner and two, second-place runner-ups...and six, third-place runner-ups. Let's just say it was difficult to judge...
